Teaser Footage from Jay-E: Dear Moleskin

Video teaser for some new Jay Electronica, produced by Just Blaze and filmed in Nepal. You might have seen some pics floating around the internets or via Jay’s Twitter Account.

furthermore from Okayplayer:

It has been a minute since anyone has heard from the mysterious Jay Electronica. Just to let you know he’s alive and well, working on new music, and apparently traveling both the globe and time(?), Jay cut some footage from his trip to Asia to a new track of his produced by Just Blaze called “Dear Moleskine.” The footage was shot on location by Jason Goldwatch. Specifically, in this piece, the Pashputinath Hindu Temple and The Bodinath Buddhist Temple in Kathmandu Nepal. It is from a collaborative film/music project between Jay Electronica’s The Dogon Society and DECON. The project currently has no title or street date.

Yeah but no Yeah but no, but Yeah's

Well this sucks. While in NYC Adam Yauch a.k.a. MCA made a startling announcement which caused them to drop a whole mess of tour dates including Lolla, mood: totally bummed. anyway in their absence the Yeah Yeah Yeah's will be performing in their slot on Saturday night. Blast! I would have much rather have "Three MC's and one DJ" but I will have to settle for Karen O. Hope to see her in an original krazy costume. That might make up for it.

The Maccabees cover The Black Eyed Peas

The Black Eyed Peas- "Boom Boom Pow"(The Maccabees cover)

I believe this is a better version than the original. The pauses they throw in there are a fantastic way to break up the song... makes it manageable.

New video from the New band The Dead Weather

The Dead Weather- "Treat Me Like Your Mother"

Dir: Jonathan Glazer

Pretty Bad Ass Mr. White... also his lead singer is crazy! I like the direction of this new project.

Thanks But No Thanks, out now!

We here at the Street Index have repped STL producer and avid remixer of songs, Phaseone, in the past, however, with word of his up coming LP coming out we began to get excited. His remixes are the shit, however, i'm sure his talent lays among those who create music and not those who re-create.

It looks as if you'll be able to get the whole LP as soon as he puts it on his twitter page, oooops... how about now! Check this, sitting here and the album pops into the ol' inbox.

You know how it is. Midwest love.
I've Listened to it in full and I have to say 4 things... It's chill, it's tight, it's well produced and check this, it's full of free love.

Cop the premire ticket to Phaseone's Latest LP Thanks But No Thanks here...
