--- King Khan & the Shrines ---

Im feeling funky this morning... so why not break out some King Khan!? Backed by a freely floating big band featuring a mixture of instrumentation including, but not limited to: horns, baritone saxophone, trombone, guitar, bass, and drums, King Khan is scantily clad, and the overwhelming frontman. His performances feature a cheerleader (who is crazy impressive bc she dances freak out style the entire time... no breaks!).

Check out their 2007 album What Is?! to get a nice tasty freak fest in your ears. Below is a smashing good single off that album titled "Land Of The Freak" this black and white Prichard Smith directed clip looks as vintage as Khan sounds and if it wasn't for the Kanye glasses I would have sworn it was from another time. The crazy man behind the microphone keeps it mellow enough that, for the most part, you're able to focus on the song itself.
