Röyksopp "Remind me"
According to Billboard.com top 10 performances at Ultra Music Festival the 5th best performance was Röyksopp. It seems that live vocals do still have a place in electro dance music. "The band proved itself a true festival force."
The list went like this
1. Skrillex (duh)
2. David Guetta
3. Deadmau5
4. Carl Cox
5. Royksopp
6. Afrojack
7. Benny Benassi
8. Kaskade

The Glitch Mob & Steve Aoki @ Congress Theatre
Truly an amazing show. Glitch Mob had a crazy acrobat dancing above them on stage, and Steve Aoki jumped from the 2nd floor balcony onto a inflatable raft in the crowd. What more could could you ask for?
Here's a little vid I made with some cell phone footage at the show. Check it

Burial, Four Tet and Thom Yorke new limited single
Rough Trade’s pre-order list, as of the 15th, includes a new 12″ by Burial, Four Tet and Radiohead’s Thom Yorke. No details are given except for the fact it’s black label, housed in a plain black bag, and is being released by Four Tet’s Text label. As expected the release sold out quite quickly. Sad. But take a listen to a radio rip of "Ego" and "Mirror", below.

jj Leaks Meandering, Untitled Song
Swedish duo jj posted the below track up on their blog yesterday with no title, no info, aside from some pretty lyrics about abstract themes of end of days scenarios and the the rebirth that may follow. The Track below, which repeats "The End" over and over, is simply 6+ min of fantastic, melodic, meandering, music. In light of this repetition we are inclined to name it "The End".

---- ProbCause ----
Ok Ok Ok, quiet down now. This bioptic post introduces you to the making of a VERY talented rapper/emcee. Lets start with a brief coming of age story via his Facebook page:
The upcoming E.P. Stir Fry, slated for release this month, is praised as a diverse blend of hip-hop, dubstep, electronic and R&B that showcases Prob's ability to organically combine genres and create a cohesive sound at the same time. Below is "Gotta Know", the first single of Stir Fry

Chicago rapper ProbCause was raised in a recording studio under the wings of his older brother and reputed sound engineer Matt Grimm. Releasing his first album "Weeknights" at the age of 15, Prob immediately gained a cult following for his catchy-conceptual music. Since then, ProbCause has consistently released quality projects [...]Last August for Chicago's finale summer concert, the North Coast Music Festival, over a thousand musicians competed for a place in the line up. After three rounds of voting, ProbCause and two other bands prevailed and were named "Toast of the Coast", earning them the opportunity of a lifetime.... WHHAAAAAAATTTT. Thats baller right there. And Prob did not disappoint festival goers. From the time of the festival till now ProbCause has been one of most successful viral artists coming out of the Chi, propelled by a savvy managing agency (better call up and book The Cause now!). And here we are in 2011. With his most recent mixtape, Spring Cleaning, ripping through the interwebz, Prob was recently asked to go on tour with notorious Chicago Rapper, Twista in March and wildly popular electronic DJ, Steve Aoki in April. (Where and When Below)

Kanye's Monster Banned From MTV
After Epilepsy inducing video, All of the Lights, Kanye is at it again with another controversial vid. This time he takes an artful look at what might be an interpretation of his personality or life style. This video uses intense imagery that objectifies women which is why MTV banned it.
So that was pretty crazy but what about Gaga's master peice, Born This way. Her vid is equally as provocative and takes the viewer to close up shots of her "lower" region. And what about objectifying men? Gaga shows a skeleton man in a tux that has doll like features much like yeezy did to the doll-like women in his vid. But I guess MTV feels its okay because she preaches that she doesn't pass judgment and god made her that way.
Nice, so overall, Kanye will probably capture more viewers from the banning then he would've on MTV because every one wants to know what all the fuss is about and people only watch MTV for Jersey Shore anyways.

Lolla Rumors
Welp spring is almost here, which means that notoriously late line up releaser, Lollapalooza, is nowhere near educating the public on who will be there for their summer time throw down. However, there are some rumors floating around the interweb. According to Festival Outlook these are some of the acts that will most likely be gracing Grant Park with their presents: 30 Seconds to Mars, Anberlin, Best Coast, Civil Twilight, Crash Kings, Crystal Castles, Eminem, Fitz and the Tantrums, Foo Fighters, G. Love, Girl Talk, Lykke Li, Muse, Portugal. the Man, Sleigh Bells, Titus Andronicus, and Wax

Welcome back to Architecture in Helsinki!
Architecture in Helsinki have been away for what seems to be an eternity. In fact, the band’s last release was in 2007, but their new song “Contact High” quickly brings back all the happy energy they give out on every song. The funky, twee synths, the playful androgynous vocals are all here in “Contact High” their first single of their first album in four years. sounds like it was ripped directly from the 1980′s, and if you listen I think you’ll have no choice but to agree. Its rhythm is infectious, its cuteness undeniable. Check it out.
Architecture in Helsinki’s first album in four years, Moment Bends, is out May 3 in the US. Below is the official video for "Contact High". Check it out!!!
