Xcuse.fi!ippa is dj from Sweden and he spins straight fire. Apparently he loves Crystal Castles and has some sick remixes of their tunes too. You gotta check em out on his myspace. On another note, Ethan or Alice, if you are reading this, you two need to quit prolonging the awesomeness that is this song and release some sort of an mp3. A snippit would be nice or even an instrumental... just something to tie the CC community over till the next LP.

Until then click on the link above to engage rave status.

The Patron Express

Two Tuesday nights ago (5/19), I joined my cousin Brook, Co-pres of All Terrain Integrated Marketing and took part in celebrating her birthday and enjoying the tasty treats of both the visual appeal of the Patron Tequila Express and the savory gustation of the many fine spirits produced by Patron. The night was historically overwhelming. First, the small train platform (in the past used by old post office trains to unload their tow) was crammed with at least 50 people. The real historic star was the train car. The private car is owned by John Paul DeJoria, who owns the Patron Spirits Company. Car #50 was built in 1927, and it decked out in plush fabrics and decked out with intricate Hindu and Buddhist wood carvings (evidently, gifts from a guru to the car’s previous owner) and original 14th-century Gothic art alongside 17th century Baroque Art.

The Master Bedroom w/ French Baroque Painting

One of the many wood carvings from India

Stained glass window (located in the lavatory!) taken from a 300 year old Belgian church

The train has played host to the likes of Clark Gable, Huey P. Long, The 34th President of the United States, Harry S. Truman, and the 32nd President of the United States, FDR. On a side note, legend has it, that Dan Aykroyd, DeJoria hatched the idea for The House of Blues while lounging in the den of the car.

View of the den

Set up outside the train was an interesting artist by the name of Chadwick the Artist. The Chicago based, self-made "live painter," puts his entire artistic process- from start to finish -out in the open for all to track. He seemed to be in his own world but yet connected to the one behind him, painting to music, or the sounds of the platform, or the movement of people through the train. either form of inspiration he was pouring every bit of energy into the expression of this moment in time.

All and all, just a very cool night.

Hopped up out the bed, turn my swag on...

Soulja boy tell em's latest single "Turn My Swag On" has been reworked and rejuvenated into a dope remix compliments of NYC dj/producer Sammy Bananas and Maggie Horn.

The duo, who call themselves Telephoned, hit the scene with their reworking of T-Pain’s hit “Can’t Believe It” and after getting such a positive buzz from the song they decided to do it again reworking Ron Browz’s “Pop Champagne” and after hearing this remake, you'll be attaching below song to your summer shuffle (a work in progress) fo sho.

BBU- "Chi Don't Dance"

BBU aka Bin-Laden Blowin Up aka Black, Brown, and Ugly dropped this flame tune on Blind I this morning and it's straight heatrocks. Chi don't dance no more, all we do is juke... Fucking tight

Go and perculate with your bad self

--- Totally Enormous Extinct Dinosaurs ---

Hey kiddies! Ready to rock your speakers with prehistoric electropopsaurus? Totaly Enormous Extinct Dinosaurs offer something different from most others producing electro dance music. Plus, any concept that revolves around dinosaurs is cool with me. Hailing from the UK, this fantastic retro blog-house music group brings fourth sleazy dance rhythms and grimmy breakcore style back beats. I also enjoy the insertion of random samples from all different genres of the audio world. Word on the street is that TEED's forthcoming EP is dropping soon. Check out the awesomely weird video for "Ducks". Their blending of grime and audio samples from the past is seamless and fun. btw keep your eyes out for these guys, Shouldn’t be too hard because they are freakin' enormous and are Officially set to blow up once they hit the states.

Art Rocking Music to Dance to

Here we go... some good-ol'-fashion, academy style, creative process. this post details two great bands from Brooklyn, Telepathe and Effi Briest. Telepathe is remixing Effi Briest's "Mirror Rim" while Effi is covering the duo's biggest hit "Chrome's On It". Now I haven't had time to listen to Effi but it sounds like both bands are using peculiar arty sounds in their inspired re-interpretations.

Effi Briest- "Mirror Rim" (Telepathe Remix)

Effi Briest- "Chromes On It" (Telepathe Cover)

If all the so-called arty rock bands approached music with a sound this unusual and at the same time as enjoyable as these two bands have, maybe they'd start leaving art gallery soundtracks and actually start living off their music.

There is a 7" due out on the 8th of May - with these two bands on there ...nice...

Has anyone else never seen this music video? Kinda cool, but how did this not hit mainstream? Is this even legit?

--- King Khan & the Shrines ---

Im feeling funky this morning... so why not break out some King Khan!? Backed by a freely floating big band featuring a mixture of instrumentation including, but not limited to: horns, baritone saxophone, trombone, guitar, bass, and drums, King Khan is scantily clad, and the overwhelming frontman. His performances feature a cheerleader (who is crazy impressive bc she dances freak out style the entire time... no breaks!).

Check out their 2007 album What Is?! to get a nice tasty freak fest in your ears. Below is a smashing good single off that album titled "Land Of The Freak" this black and white Prichard Smith directed clip looks as vintage as Khan sounds and if it wasn't for the Kanye glasses I would have sworn it was from another time. The crazy man behind the microphone keeps it mellow enough that, for the most part, you're able to focus on the song itself.

M.I.A. Visuals

If you've been to a M.I.A. show recently you would have noticed her sick graphics behind yet accompanying her ill music. David OReilly is resposible for some of them (or maybe all, don’t know). These visuals aren’t the ones used at the gig, but they’re posted by David as some of his favorites & I can see why! You can view this with red/cyan glasses, the gun’s distortion is in 3D! and the video graphics below that are just plain sweet...

the graphics were rendered in extreme widescreen so David put them both in one video. The left audio channel is for the song “World Town” and the right the final version of “Bang”. Listen to them separately with headphones.
