Anarchy in the streets

Well this is certainly... different. Dan Deacon is insane, and I am at peace with it because his insanity brings my cochlea much joy. The Baltimore native has just released another ear drum rupturing, brain tickling track. “Get Older” is the first single off of his upcoming album, Bromst which is due out on the 24th of March. This song is absolutely with out a doubt chaotic and agitating. With the absence of any form or function Mr. Deacon bombards us with a cacophony of sine waves, 8-bit synths and repetitive riffs made from the number of recycled and refurbished gizmos and gadgets he uses. What I really like about this song is that the flow of noise is unbelievably consistent. In this relentless fashion Dan Deacon holds a special place in my personal music list. If you go see him anytime in '09, the set will mainly be material off his new album, Bromst, which is coming out March 24th on Carpark Records. Oh boy! enjoy...
