Light Array

'Beacon' is a kinetic light installation by Chris O'Shea, which presents an array of emergency beacon lights that interacts with visitors, tracking their movement through the instillation space, creating an immersive and playful experience. The movement of the beacons are orchestrated in real-time by a bespoke control system, which uses tracking information from the cameras to coordinate the interactive and highly responsive behavior of the lights.
