Post-Graffiti Abstract Expressionist, Rene Gagnon

Rene Gagnon, either he is the man who was immortalized by Joe Rosenthal's famous World War II photograph, Raising the Flag on Iwo Jima or hes the man described as creating abstract expressionist graffiti. Lucky you, the Gagnon refered to in this post is not the first. Youtube carries a bunch of videos about the dude, but here's one where Gagnon reflects on his process and creative catharsis. Below are a couple images of his most recent work seen around the streets. He has a solo show of similar work titled "HOOD", at the Narrows Center for the Arts, in Fall River, MA. Enjoy.
