-Phoenix-
The French band Phoenix draws elements from an eclectic '80s upbringing to arrive at their rockin sound. 'United', the group's debut album, appeared in 2000 on Astralwerks and was recorded over two months. The album featured guest appearances from some friends, including Thomas Bangalter (Daft Punk) and Philippe Zdar (Cassius). Their sophmore album, 'Alphabetical' followed in 2004 and 'It's Never Been Like That' in 2006. The band is expected to release 'Wolfgang Amadeus Phoenix' in May. If the singles off this album are any indicator for this bands future on this side of the Atlantic, its that they are here state-side to rock. Below is the music video to "Consolation Prizes", a single of their third studio album, 'It's Never Been Like That', and below that, their new single off their quadralbum, 'Wolfgang Amadeus Phoenix', "1901", that you can download free from their website. Rock On.
