If Devo wasn't on the rise again, this band would take its place for this generation of synth poppers, electro stoppers, and blip bloppers. Repping red jumpers, these nerd rockers from the great land of Norway call themselves Datarock and combine post-punk with disco-tinged techno to create a non-stop dance party. The band has released three EPs and their debut album, Datarock Datarock, was released in 2005. I was hooked with a simple auditory sampling of their first single "Computer Camp Love" of the premire LP, which scored the 88th spot on the Rolling Stone's list of the 100 Best Songs of 2007.Red is the second album by Norwegian Dance duo Datarock, to be released in May, 2009. Don't forget to go out and get yourself a copy! The First single off that album is titled "Give it up" and comes with a pretty entertaining music video. Its April and there is snow outside, so this post was the highlight of my day. I enjoy Datarock and I hope you do too.
